First Majestic Silver
Corp. (NYSE:AG) has announced a total production of 7.2 million
silver equivalent ounces (2.6 million ounces of silver and 58,892 ounces of
gold) in the first quarter of 2022 from its four producing operations: the San
Dimas Silver/Gold Mine, the Jerritt Canyon Gold Mine, the Santa Elena
Silver/Gold Mine and the La Encantada Silver Mine. Keith Neumeyer, the
company’s President and CEO, said:
"Our
new Ermitaño mine at Santa Elena has definitely become the highlight for the
business in the past two quarters. Having just completed its first full quarter
in production, we continue to anticipate additional growth at Ermitaño as the
mine ramps up to higher throughput levels over the next few quarters.”
Seabridge Gold Inc. (NYSE:SA) has completed the drill program at its 100
percent-owned Snowstorm Project in northern Nevada. The company’s Chairman and
CEO, Rudi Fronk, commented:
"Conditions
around advancing this project remain challenging but incremental progress
continues. We knew a multi-year exploration program would be required to advance
a deep blind target and we remain confident of the potential. Integrating these
new results into our understanding is expected to further define targeting in
our next campaign designed to advance towards discovery of a Turquoise Ridge
style opportunity."
Canterra Minerals
Corporation (TSXV:CTM) has reported results from the 4,200 metre diamond
drill program at its wholly-owned Wilding Gold Project in central Newfoundland,
Canada. Cooper Quinn, the company’s President, said:
“These
results successfully expanded on previous gold zones identified at Red Ochre and
Alder. We are particularly pleased to see longer intervals similar to Marathon
Gold, as well as some multi-ounce, high grade intersections. We are encouraged
to see the breadth of mineralization in holes like WL-21-53 at Red Ochre where
stacked mineralization is present over 40 meters with significant higher-grade
zones within.”
Angold Resources Ltd. (TSXV:AAU) has announced the start of preparation work for
its upcoming drill program at Iron Butte in Nevada. According to the press
release, Phase One drilling “will comprise 5 holes, totalling 2,926 meters and
may be expanded to 9 holes, totalling 5,502 meters upon exploration success.”
The company’s CEO, Adrian Rothwell, explained:
"With
historically long intercepts and excellent grades, a deep, intact oxide zone,
as well as a total 2,210 hectares of prospective ground and new results
demonstrating mineralized structures up to ~30m thick, Iron Butte continues to
exhibit evidence of a large system. Excellent potential exists to increase the
size of the deposit and historic resource with infill, lateral and deeper
drilling."
