O2Gold, Inc. (TSXV:OTGO) has shared the latest results from its ongoing drill program, confirming the mineralized system of the main Aurora vein at depth, at its property in Colombia. Drill hole AUR-21-002 intercepted the main Aurora vein, showing 7m @ 19.26 g/t Au and 10.5 g/t Ag from 23.10m to 23.80m. Elsewhere, the press release indicates that brownfield “Aparecida's Fortaleza vein has a projected extension of at least 400m, and rock channel sampling returned maximum values of 42.3 g/t Au and 49.6 g/t Ag,” and that Botella’s Esmeralda vein “has an observed width of 1m, and several rock channel samples showed grades of more than 30 g/t Au.”

 

Defense Metals Corp. (TSXV:DEFN) (OTCQB:DFMTF) has announced plans for the mobilization of a second diamond drill to expedite its ongoing Wicheeda Rare Earth Element (REE) deposit resource expansion and delineation diamond drill program. Craig Taylor, the company’s CEO, said:

Newmont Corporation (NYSE:NEM) has delivered the gold industry’s first Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) fleet – consisting of 36 trucks – at Western Australia’s largest gold mine, Boddington. Newmont President and CEO Tom Palmer said:

Bonterra Resources Inc. (TSXV:BTR) has reported results from the ongoing drilling campaign at its Barry project. Highlights include 8.0 g/t grams-per-tonne gold over 12.1 metres in the near-surface zone AB8. The company’s CEO, Pascal Hamelin, said:

 

"These near surface results, in particular in hole MB-21-384 substantiates our view that a strong mineralized potential exists at Barry from the recent exploration drilling which intercepted thick and continuous gold mineralization intervals near surface and within 200 m depth immediately adjacent to the 2021 MRE. More assays are pending from this same sector, and we look forward to receiving more diamond drill results from this area."
